Additional $20K gift from the Tyler Richardson Foundation for Park

Shane Richardson, president of the Tyler Richardson Foundation, attended the February 4th Camden Council meeting to announce a $20,000 donation to the Parks and Recreation Department, to benefit Tyler’s-Ville Community Park (Waterworks Park).

The Foundation donated approximately $35,000 worth of  playground equipment to the village in the spring of 2020 and this additional donation will be used to purchase a new piece of playground equipment (in the shape of a tractor) and for the resurfacing, repairs and upgrading the park’s basketball court.

Mayor Moss and Camden Council expressed their sincere appreciation for the Richardsons’ and the Foundation’s continued support and vision for the park, and also approved a $20,000 match of the Foundation’s $20,000 donation.  Those funds were not designated at the meeting but could be used for construction of a second shelter for public use, new park features, or additional structures. The Parks and Recreation Committee will meet and bring recommendations to Council.
