Residents and visitors may have noticed that construction is underway on Phase 1 of Camden’s new walking path. Crews are creating the path in the grassy area near the fence along the east side of Route 127.
The walking path, primarily funded through grants from the state of Ohio, was approved five years ago but was delayed by construction costs, design delays, covid and other issues, and is just now getting started. Phase 1 of the walking path will run from South Street at the south of the village to just short of Camden Road on the north side. Construction should be completed this month.

Council is currently applying for and seeking additional funding for Phase 2 which will continue the path to approximately the Roadside Park/Water Tower area.
We hope the path, even if not complete yet, will privide a nice walking area for Camden residents and families.
