In addition to construction and some improvement projects going on (see this post), there have been some fun things happening around town as well:
- The Camden Fire and EMS Association recently held their near-annual (2020 FunDay had to be cancelled) Sunday Funday event. Held the Sunday prior to the beginning of school, this super fun event helps kids and parents alike celebration the new school year. There were bounce houses, a barrel train, free hot dogs, sno-cones, popcorn and snacks...and just an all-around fun time. Additional sponsors of the event were the Camden Police Department and Camden Comeback.
- The weekly Farmer's Market continues to be a great crowd draw with a consistent number of great vendors and quality products, drawing visitors from around the county and others simply driving by. The Market is held every Thursday, from 5:00-8:00, in the Bicentennial Park at the corner of Central and Main.
- Our monthly Camden Cruise In car/truck/bike/tractor show is also a success with more and more cool, fun cars showing up at each event. The Cruise In is the first Thursday of each month through October and coincides (and is held right next to) Camden's weekly Farmer's Market.
- And last, but not least, the Annual Parade for our youth fall sports teams. It was a beautiful day for a fun parade...and topped off with some great youth sports games, food, friends, family and fun.
