The Village of Camden is currently working on the development of the Camden Technology Center. The Tech Center, which will be located in one of the oldest structures on S. Main Street, will provide the community with a space for enhanced and increased educational opportunities, workforce development initiatives, collaborative learning. and more.
The Village is working to complete the capital funding required for the total cost for construction of the project, and are pleased that in the recent Capitol Budget Bill, the State of Ohio approved funding of $175,000 for the Tech Center. We would like to thank Senator Matt Huffman and State Representative Rodney Creech for their time and effort invested in this project.
The Tech Center will provide high-speed internet connection, computers, and other technological assets for use by the Camden community, and increased broadband speeds and internet accessibility to parts of the village.
he Village intends to work in conjunction with the Preble County District Library with the hope that the Camden Library branch will be located on the bottom floor. That floor will also house the Tech Center component of the project and the entire building will be renovated for accessibility and function, with the top floor available for leasable space.
Together the Village of Camden and the Preble County District Library hope to create an incredibly usable, functional and beneficial space with state-of-art technology and amenities that will provide opportunities and better services for our community. You can read more here: https://www.registerherald.com/news/52266/technology-center-coming-to-camden
