Black Walnut Festival

Join us in Camden on Sat and Sun, October 17-18, 2020

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic
and state restrictions,  the
2020 Black Walnut Festival has been cancelled.

The annual Black Walnut Festival, held in Camden on the third weekend in October, will now be organized by the Camden Comeback (a 501(c)3 non-profit group of Camden citizens and business owners). The group is already hard at work planning the next year's Camden Black Walnut Festival to be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 16-17, 2021.

Next year, you will be able to again enjoy all the fantastic festival fun of our Black Walnut Festival including:

  • handmade crafts
  • antiques and collectibles
  • new products
  • pumpkins, gourds, flowers and other fall produce
  • great food vendors
  • a classic car show
  • baking contest
  • top notch entertainment all day long
  • wood carving
  • fun events for the whole family
  • Historic Camden and Haunted Camden walking tours
  • oh, and let's not forget the great hand-cranked, homemade ice cream?!

HERE IS THE FESTIVAL COVID UPDATE from CAMDEN COMEBACK:

"ANNOUNCEMENT RE: BLACK WALNUT FESTIVAL

It is with genuine disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Black Walnut Festival. The safety of our community, vendors, and guests was always our top priority, but there were additional concerns that contributed to our final decision. Between the safety concerns, the restrictions and uncertainty from the state (e.g., festivals/carnivals/etc. are still prohibited under the latest order), the potential financial losses, and the liability to the committee and members in holding an event against the direction of the state, we made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event.

We understand many will be disappointed. We are too. But, we are already hard at work on the 2021 festival to be held on October 16-17...and we look forward to an incredible 34th annual Black Walnut Festival with you all next year!

If you are a vendor that applied and paid for the 2020 Festival, you will be receiving a prompt refund. Please check your email for information, and thank you for your interest in being a vendor...we hope to see you next year! If you have not heard from us yet, though, please send us an email at blackwalnutfestival@gmail.com and we’ll take care of you.

Thank you all for your understanding and support.

Please visit the Camden Comeback website for more information.  If you are interested in being a vendor at the Festival, you will find vendor information here."

A BIG THANK YOU!

The great folks who have organized and put on Camden's BLACK WALNUT FESTIVAL for the past several years have turned the reins over to the CAMDEN COMEBACK COMMITTEE. We want to thank you them for all they have done for Camden and for keeping the Festival going and thriving for so long.  THANK YOU!
