Welcome to the Village of Camden!

Established in 1818, Camden is a community with an interesting past and a bright future. We're conveniently located at the corner of highways 127 and 725 in southern Preble County with easy access to Oxford, Hamilton, Dayton, Cincinnati and SW Indiana, and with close proximity to I-70 to the north and I-75 to the east, you can get anywhere from Camden. Or you can stay right here.

A friendly, laid-back community, Camden is home to several successful businesses, an outstanding school district, four community parks, a wonderful new community center and a hard-working, dedicated, friendly citizenry. We're currently concentrating revitalization and growth, and the results have been nothing short of inspiring. New businesses have opened and more are planned. Infrastructure and beautification improvements continue to make a significant difference in the appearance, livability, and functionality of our village. We offer lots of events, activities and festivals for our community and visitors. All this makes Camden an enjoyable and rewarding place to live, work and play.

It's an exciting and encouraging time for Camden. If you are already an important part of our community, thank you. If you’re considering relocating your home or business to Camden -- or simply thinking about a visit -- please do. We’re here to help in any way we can.

So grab a bite to eat at one of our great restaurants, stop by our Black Walnut Festival or one of the many fun community events throughout the year. Visit the splash pad or picnic areas at one of our parks or stop by our beautiful Town Hall to learn more about us.

If you have any questions or we can assist you while you're here, just let us know. Enjoy your visit!

A little bit about camden

In early 2020, the Camden Comeback organization (local non-profit that supports Camden's citizens and businesses) entered Camden in HGTV's HomeTown Takeover Contest. While HGTV chose another small town to "take over," here is Camden's contest video, produced as part of the application process. Watch and listen as our Camden friends and neighbors describe our great little village.
