Responsibilities include:

- Supervision of two maintenance employees
- Perform duties and responsibilities for village's Water Department
- Perform duties and responsibilities for village's Street Department
- Perform duties and responsibilities for village's Sewer Department
- Property maintenance code official
- Maintaining villages vehicles, equipment and tools including conducting minor repairs, keeping maintenance records, deciding when to request additional equipment/tools/vehicles
- Trash / Trash can removal and maintenance
- General maintenance on village buildings, parks, equipment as needed
- Other duties as requested by Mayor or Village Council

- Accounts Payable and Receivable
Maintain all billing and payments for the Village, follow accounts payable and receivable policies. - Records and Accounts
Keep accurate statements of accounts and funds for all monies received and expended by the Village under the direction of the Ohio Auditor of State. The Fiscal Officer must keep record of all taxes and assessments. (Ohio Revised Code Section 733.28). Settle, reconcile, prepare and present with the Village Finance and Budget committee financial reports. (Ohio Revised Code Sections 733.43, 733.47, and 733.14). - Annual Certification of Funds, Semi-Annual Tax Budget for upcoming year
The Fiscal Officer shall provide and certify to the County Auditor a list containing year-end balances, reconcile receipts and expenditures against Appropriations, prepare semi-annual appropriations for county budget commission. - Auditing of Accounts and Review of Expenditures
Year end the Fiscal Offer shall audit the accounts of all Village Officers and departments for submission to County Auditor. The Fiscal Officer shall not allow the amount appropriated to be overdrawn or drawn upon for other than proper purpose. (Ohio Revised Code Sections 733.15, 733.16 and 733.17) - Human Resources and Payroll
Perform accurate and timely payroll functions for Village employees, submit withheld taxes to Internal Revenue Service and the Ohio State Treasurer. Monthly payroll employee withholding submissions, School, State, RITA, Federal, Medicare, (941), OPERS and OP&F. - Contracts and Certification
Sign and certify Village contracts that necessary funds are available. (Ohio Revised Code Section 431.14 and 5705.41) - Deposit Funds
Deposit all funds according to the Uniform Depository Act (Ohio Revised Code Chapter 135) - Notice and Records
The Fiscal Officer shall attend required meetings, keep record of all legislative authority’s proceedings, rules, bylaws, and legislation passed or adopted for the Village by Council. Prepare, distribute and post agendas, post official record of minutes of all Council meetings. Maintain the Village Record Retention Policy, Oversee Village website, Assist Mayor’s Court Clerk. - Manage the Village Utility Department
Reception for Village offices, assist customers with payments, print and retain all monthly reports, perform monthly cycle end reset. Prepare monthly meter reads for Village Administrator. Monitor accounts for unusual usage, generate and mail monthly utility bills.
