The Village of Camden is in the process of developing zoning regulations, Community Reinvestment Area, and TIF incentives and other initiatives to improve and support current and future economic development within the village. The Tech Center project continues to move forward in the process. We have completed more finalized renderings and drawings to help attract the interested parties to the building. Upon securing the needed Memorandum of Understanding from the interested parties, the Village will look to finalize the remaining components of the capital stack. We have received immense support for the project and even received $175k in State Capital Funding. In addition to that, we have submitted to be considered for another $200k in state funding. The Tech Center component of the project has recently received a Letter of Interest from Wright State University to hold College Credit Plus classes at the Center itself. Having Wright State utilize the center in that capacity would help drive foot traffic to the building and further utilize all its offerings. More news coming soon!
Town Hall Phase II
The Town Hall Phase II second story renovation project continues to be a topic of discussion. Currently, we have finalized the exterior renderings and are looking to finalize the interior renderings, as well as the construction drawings for the project. In addition to the needed touches on renderings and drawings, the Village continues to seek different funding options. The Village has received $100k in State Capital Funding for the project. 107 E. Central Avenue
The Village of Camden, Ohio owns a property at 107 E Central that is ready for redevelopment. The building was constructed in 1900 and has housed numerous types of businesses and residences.
